McDSP APB-16 16-Channel Analog Processing Box with Thunderbolt 3

The McDSP APB-16 is a 16-channel programmable analog processor that seamlessly integrates the sonic richness of analog hardware with the convenience of digital workflows. It allows users to insert APB plug-ins into their DAW sessions just like standard plug-ins. However, instead of processing audio digitally, these plug-ins send control signals to the APB-16 hardware, which processes the audio in the analog domain before converting it back to digital and returning it to the DAW. Up to sixteen mono APB plug-ins or up to eight stereo APB plug-ins, can run on a single APB-16. A growing collection of APB plug-ins is included, no additional purchases necessary.

The APB-16 comes with two USB-C style connectors that support Thunderbolt 3 and Thunderbolt 4 ports on both Intel and Apple silicon Macs—operating at twice the bandwidth of the original APB units that came with Thunderbolt 2. It is compatible with major DAWs like Pro Tools, Logic Pro, and Cubase through AAX, AU, and VST3 plug-in formats. McDSP APB plug-ins are not compatible with Windows, nor do they support the VENUE S6L systems. APB plug-ins require an iLok2 or iLok3 USB Smart Key, or an iLok License Manager account and an iLok Cloud session for authorization.

Focusrite Scarlett 18i20 USB-C Audio/MIDI Interface (4th Generation)
18x20: Eight Focusrite Preamps and Flagship RedNet Converters for Producers and Project Studios
Offering a powerful combination of user-friendliness and an array of workflow tools for recording, podcasting, and streaming, the Focusrite Scarlett 18i20 (4th Generation) 18-in / 20-out USB-C audio/MIDI interface lets musicians, producers, and creators capture pristine audio on a Mac/Windows/Chromebook computer or USB-C iPad—with no learning curve. The 4th Generation model features eight ultralow-noise microphone preamps with up to 69 dB of gain to capture the full potential of your mics. The flagship, RedNet 24-bit / 192 kHz AD/DA converters provide a huge dynamic range up to 122 dB, matching the quality you'd find in a pro studio. The new Auto Gain mode automatically sets your recording level, and Clip Safe mode automatically prevents your signal from clipping, ensuring that every take is a keeper. The Loopback feature lets podcasters, gamers, YouTubers, and streamers mix audio from other apps running on the computer.

Scarlett 18i20 is the perfect hub to integrate your DAW and hardware, with eight mic/line inputs, two  instrument inputs, and ten line outputs, plus two ADAT I/O, S/PDIF I/O, and wordclock Out to connect external instruments, processors, and effects, and manage complex routing with incredible ease via Focusrite Control 2 software. Offering an onboard talkback mic for communication with talent, 8-channel LED bar-graph meters, dual headphone outputs with independent level controls, and speaker switching for dual-monitor setups, the 18i20 serves as a robust foundation for serious project studios that may require expansion in the future. The interface comes with production software including Pro Tools Artist, Ableton Live Lite, and a suite of instruments, processors, and effects.

Huge, 4th-Generation 122 dB Dynamic Range
  • Scarlett 18i20 4th Generation uses the same studio-grade converters as Focusrite’s flagship RedNet interfaces, found in countless high-end studios worldwide.
  • Thanks to its high-performance via 24-bit / 192 kHz AD/DA converters that deliver a huge 122 dB of dynamic range, the Scarlett 18i20 is well equipped to capture any source from vocals to acoustic and electric instruments clearly and accurately, so you don't have to worry about the interface clouding your sound.
Eight 4th-Generation Mic/Line Preamps with Air Mode
  • With a huge 69 dB gain range, the eight upgraded 4th-generation Scarlett XLR mic preamps capture the sound of your microphones with enhanced transparency and full detail. Switchable 48V phantom power is onboard to accommodate your favorite condenser mics.
  • The preamps can be controlled remotely from your computer via the Control 2 software.
  • The selectable-per-channel Air Mode brings the bright and open sonic signature of a big studio console to your microphone preamps.
  • Air Mode adds high-end presence and rich harmonic drive to vocals and instruments, reproducing the Air effect of Focusrite's original ISA mic preamp.
Two Hi-Z Instrument Inputs + 10 Line Inputs
  • The two 1/4" inputs on the Scarlett 18i20 4th Generation's front panel are specially designed to preserve the quality of your sound when connecting instruments with high impedance (Hi-Z) like electric guitars or basses—no need for a DI box or amplifier.
  • At the press of a button, each 1/4" input can be used to input line-level sources, like a mixer's output or the line outs from guitar and bass amps.
  • With six combo-XLR/1/4" line inputs on the back of the Scarlett 18i20, you can patch in line-level sources such as external mic preamps, an outboard mixer, or synthesizer sound modules while leaving the front-panel inputs free for direct connection of mics, instruments, or other line-level sources.
10 Line Outputs
  • Four, balanced 1/4" line outputs on the rear panel enable you to connect two different monitor setups with independent mixes or patch your favorite outboard gear and effects into your DAW.
2 ADAT I/0 + S/PDIF I/O
  • The two ADAT optical I/O enable you to record and playback up to eight more channels of audio at up to 96 kHz (four channels at 192 kHz), a perfect way to pipe in an external 8-channel mic preamp with an onboard A/D converter or send tracks digitally to a headphone distribution system or digital mixer.
  • The S/PDIF stereo digital I/O is great for recording the output of a digital DJ mixer or an external mic preamp outfitted with an A/D converter and S/PDIF output.
User-Friendly for Both Beginners and Experienced Creators
  • The Scarlett 18i20 is designed to be user-friendly and offer a streamlined experience, making it accessible to both beginners and experienced audio enthusiasts.
  • Plug in and tell Focusrite’s Easy Start tool how you want to use your Scarlett, and let it guide you through all the software and setup you need, with recording tips and other helpful content along the way.
  • With the Scarlett 18i20's independent gain knobs and 8-channel LED bar-graph meters, you'll have no trouble dialing in the perfect levels. Plus, there are no menus or complicated controls to slow you down.
Auto Gain—Let Scarlett Set Your Levels
  • Hit the Auto Gain button and play for ten seconds, Scarlett will set the perfect level for whatever you’re recording.
  • Set usable levels for multiple microphones instantly, so you can get complex sessions up and running quickly.
Clip Safe—Make Every Take a Keeper
  • While you’re playing, Clip Safe is all ears. Checking your levels up to 96,000 times per second, Clip Safe will automatically adjust the gain if you’re at risk of clipping, ensuring that your recordings remain distortion-free even when performing at higher volumes.
Two Independent Headphone Outs
  • Two powerful, custom-designed headphone amps with a huge dynamic range sets the stage for loud, clear, and accurate playback and monitoring through any headphones.
  • Separate knobs are provided for quick and independent adjustment of your speakers and headphone volumes.
Take Control of your Mixes with Control 2 Software—Latency-Free Monitoring
  • The Focusrite Control 2 software simplifies setting up routing, levels, monitor mixes, and other functions on the Scarlett 18i16, direct from your Mac/Windows computer.
  • User-selectable direct routing and six internal mixers enable you to send audio wherever you need it. You can hear your live-input signal with no distracting echo or latency.
Loopback for Podcasters, Gamers, YouTubers, Streamers
  • Loopback lets you record other audio sources from within your computer (e.g., the audio output from a web browser) using the Scarlett's virtual stereo inputs, which have no physical connectors on the hardware interface itself but may be selected in the DAW as signal sources.
  • Podcasters can use it to record guests via video call. Gamers can record gaming audio plus a mic separately. YouTubers can record a mic over a video. You can also combine computer audio with your mic for streaming.
A/B Speaker Switching and Built-In Talkback Microphone
  • The Alt button enables you to switch between 2 pairs of studio monitors.
  • The convenient built-in talkback mic lets you communicate directly with musicians.
5-Pin DIN MIDI I/O
  • On the Scarlett 18i20's back panel, you'll find traditional 5-pin MIDI I/O ports, perfect for hooking up a MIDI keyboard controller, a synthesizer/workstation, or a sound module, for MIDI recording, editing, and sequencing.
Standalone Mode
  • The Scarlett 18i20 4th Generation can work in standalone mode and still pass audio from the inputs to the outputs without the need for a computer.

AKG C414 XLS Large-Diaphragm Multipattern Condenser Microphone

The AKG C414 XLS Large-Diaphragm Multipattern Condenser Microphone is an industry staple that extends the renowned heritage of the C414 B-ULS. Equipped with nine selectable polar patterns, three attenuation levels, and three switchable bass-cut filters, the C414 XLS remains one of the most versatile condenser microphones for recording vocals, drums, and acoustic and amplified instruments in the studio or on stage. This microphone is designed to closely approximate the sonic character of the vintage C414 B-ULS while providing an updated and expanded feature set.

The 1" edge-terminated, dual-diaphragm transducer combined with the low-noise electronic circuitry provide a wide dynamic range of 134 dB and can handle SPL up to 158 dB, for a detailed, linear, and natural tone. With full immunity to electromagnetic and electrostatic interference as well as high tolerance to humidity, the C414 XLS is well suited to withstand the rigors of demanding studio, stage, and broadcast applications. Special features include a peak-hold LED to alert you if overloading occurs, and a lock mode that prevents unintended changes to the microphone settings. The package includes a vibration-inhibiting shockmount, a pop filter, and a metal carrying case.

AKG's Legendary 1" Large-Diaphragm Capsule
The legendary C414 is a tool found in most recording studios and has been used on thousands of hit records; it's been on stage with artists of every musical genre and is also used by leading broadcast facilities the world over. The C414 family has been one of the world's most widely used and respected studio and stage microphones in audio history. Added useful features and even greater ease of use make the XLS a worthy member of the renowned C414 line. The C414 XLS maintains the sonic character of the legendary C414 B-ULS, the most popular AKG C414 version since 1971.
Nine Selectable Polar Patterns
The C414 XLS is the multi-instrumentalist in your microphone rig ready to fill in wherever needed. Whether it's omni, wide cardioid, cardioid, hypercardioid, figure-8, or the four intermediate polar patterns, there are plenty of ways to get the most natural sound from any instrument—electric and acoustic guitars, drums, and much more. Employ a hypercardioid pattern to reduce drum spill, then quickly switch to a figure-8 pattern to balance out two vocalists. These easy-to-access options make the AKG C414 XLS suitable to any studio with limited space in its mic locker.
Overload-Detection LED and Bass-Cut Filter
The AKG C414 XLS empowers you to make better recordings. When acting as both artist and engineer, the mic's overload-detection LED makes it easy to see when your input levels are too high. This helps you take full advantage of the mic's dynamic range and only engage the pad when necessary. Its bass-cut filter helps you curb rumbles, vibrations, and loud, boomy sounds and minimizes the proximity effect for balanced recordings. For live sound applications and permanent installations, all controls can easily be disabled for trouble-free use.
Rugged Metal Housing
The all-metal body ensures efficient rejection of RF interference so you can use the microphone near transmitter stations, along with wireless microphones or other communications equipment.

The DT 770 PRO X headphones include a detachable 9.8' mini-XLR to 3.5mm TRS cable, a 3.5mm to 1/4" TRS screw-on plug adapter, and a drawstring case.

DT 770 PRO vs PRO X
What's new with the DT 770 PRO X versus the original DT 770 PRO? Upgrades include:

  • New STELLAR.45 dynamic driver
  • Wide 5 Hz to 40 kHz frequency range, versus 5 Hz to 35 kHz with the DT 770 PRO
  • 48-ohm impedance for wide compatibility with consumer and pro audio gear
  • Detachable cable with locking mini-XLR connector to earcup
  • Fontanelle recess for avoiding painful pressure points on the head
  • Support for PRO X digital USB-C and Lightning cables (sold separately)
100 Years of History
The DT 770 PRO X capitalizes on Beyerdynamic's 100-year history, combining the reference-setting features of the DT 770 PRO with the flexibility of the dynamic Stellar.45 driver system and a detachable cable. Made in Germany, the DT 770 PRO X adds an exciting chapter to the successful Beyerdynamic DT series.
Tried-and-Tested Acoustic Signature
The DT 770 PRO X circumaural studio headphones feature the tried-and-tested acoustic signature of the DT 770 PRO. Powerful basses, detailed trebles, and first-class impulse behavior. Professional musicians, producers, studio operators, and sound engineers have been trusting in these qualities for decades. Flexible and powerful, the studio headphones are perfect for recording and monitoring purposes thanks to their closed-back design.
The Reference for a Range of Playback Equipment
Thanks to their dynamic STELLAR.45 driver with its broad frequency response of 5 to 40,000 Hz, the DT 770 PRO X headphones deliver studio reference sound on a wide range of playback equipment. With a 48-ohm impedance, these headphones are naturally compatible with both pro hardware (like mixers and interfaces) and consumer-grade tech like smartphones.
STELLAR.45 Driver
The STELLAR.45 sound transducer uses a neodymium magnet and a voice coil made from copper-plated precision wires. The resulting high conductivity of the driver system nad low weight is the reason for its high performance.

The driver system keeps distortion extremely low, even at high SPLs. The STELLAR.45 has an impedance of 48 ohms and proves that low-impedance sound transducers can deliver excellent studio-quality sound.

Detachable Cable
As requested by a number of users, the DT 770 PRO X headphones now offer even more flexibility thanks to their detachable cable. The headphones come with a 9.8'-long straight cable with lockable 3-pin mini-XLR connector. This can be connected to a variety of devices thanks to a 3.5mm stereo jack including a screwing 1/4" TRS adapter.
The Most Comfortable 770 Yet
In addition to the robust spring steel headband construction, it is the iconic velour earpads that ensure the headphones are comfortable even for long studio sessions. The soft memory foam used in the headband means it ergonomically adjusts to the shape of your head.

One new feature is the integrated fontanelle recess, which avoids pinching pressure-sensitive parts of the head. Both the headband and the earpads can be replaced if necessary.

Pro Headphones Made in Germany
The Stellar.45 driver systems are measured within tight tolerances several times during production. The combination of robust metal parts and impact- and scratch-resistant ABS plastic make the DT 770 PRO X a long-lasting companion for everyday studio use. For sustainability, almost every part of these studio headphones can be replaced.
