Motorized 2x Anamorphic Capture
Get a refined cinematic look for your pro video capture with the Horizon Full-Frame 100mm T2.3 2x Anamorphic Lens from ZEISS. Each ARRI LPL-mount lens in this series of seven incorporates a fully integrated lens motor system that eliminates the need to use external focus or iris motors. The Horizon lenses feature pronounced oval bokeh, a stretched sense of spatial depth, and a T2.3 maximum aperture that is consistent across the series.
Tunable Character
The Horizon Anamorphic lenses have a neutral baseline that users can customize using filters, diffusion, LUTs, and grading. ZEISS will be releasing a tunable back element for additional shaping, letting cinematographers dial in individual looks without a "baked-in" feel. This optional element is mounted using the ZEISS IMS (Interchangeable Mount System), enabling changes in sharpness, contrast, and character while maintaining calibration and focus scale accuracy.
Immersive 2x Anamorphic Visuals
- The Horizon Anamorphic lenses provide a 2x anamorphic squeeze with heightened depth, scale, and presence that produce a classic cinematic look.
- This 2x geometry delivers a stretched sense of space that is not usually apparent when using spherical or 1.3x or 1.5x anamorphic lenses.
Integrated Lens Motors
The Horizon Anamorphic lenses' integrated lens motors simplify and speed up your camera build, eliminating the need to reposition and/or recalibrate external motors. Since only the flange focal distance needs to be adjusted, assistants and rental houses can save significant time by not having to calibrate focus marks.
Single-Source Lens Calibration
The Horizon Anamorphic series stores all calibrated focus and iris scales directly in each lens, creating a single data source. This minimizes errors and produces consistent, extremely accurate lens information regardless of which camera body you're using.
Lens Control System Integration
- These lenses are fully compatible with industry-standard ARRI and Preston lens control systems.
- This speeds your on-set workflow since the A.C./focus puller can use the lenses with a system of components with which they're already familiar.
Dual Displays
Dual touchscreen displays on opposite sides of each lens enable both the operator and A.C./focus puller to quickly view and adjust focus and iris settings.
Lens Data Support
The Horizon Anamorphic lenses support the widely used Cooke /i technology with frame-accurate focus, aperture, depth-of-field, and additional lens data. This data support helps to increase both on-set and post-production efficiency.
