Fun camera and very lightweight. It’s a bit bulky. Picture quality is very nice

Heavy, bulky, photos not sharp or clear

I wanted to have fun with this instant camera. It's big, bulky, heavy and a lot to lug around. The instant film fails 2 out of each pack. Very disappointed. I already recycled the interior packing materials or I would have returned it to BH. I used a measuring tape to get the right focus selection. Just not good enough.

Can you turn the flash off and on or is it always auto? And is there a “light” and “dark” option like the old Instax wide?

The flash on the FUJIFILM instax WIDE 400 Instant Film Camera is fully automatic. It also does not have a light and dark feature.

Can it be used as a photo printer to print from smartphone as well?

The FUJIFILM instax WIDE 400 Instant Film Camera cannot print from a smartphone. Instead you could use the FUJIFILM instax WIDE EVO Hybrid Instant Film Camera, BH #FUIWECBK • MFR #16840957, which has the ability to print from a smartphone.
