Originally conceived of by Neil Peart for extended reach and power, the ProMark Forward 747 Hickory Drumsticks sport a traditional lacquered finish, a short, beefy taper, and a slightly extended 16.25" length. The 5A-style 0.551" diameter offers a versatile, forward-balanced stick weight that supports all-around playing.
The extra-large oval-shaped wood tip provides a darker, warmer, and louder attack while remaining versatile. The hickory wood material provides durability and a classic feel. The ProMatch process ensures each stick pair is perfectly balanced and matched for a comfortable and optimized playing experience. Every ProMark stick is designed, engineered, and manufactured in the USA.
Forward Series
These drumsticks are front weighted for increased power and a classic feel. The oval tip provides a full-bodied and warm tone suited for multiple applications.
ProMatch Process
- Weight sorted: wooden dowels are sorted, separated, and batched together based on weight
- Precision cut: using precise methods, raw dowels are cut, shaped, lacquered, and treated, yielding fully formed sticks
- Weight matched: finished sticks are matched into pairs by weight, adhering to the strictest possible tolerances
- Pitch perfect: all sticks are matched to the tightest pitch tolerances within any pair
