The Failsafe Gadget continuously monitors the Main (A) audio input using an adjustable silence sensor. If the audio level falls below the user-defined threshold for the selected amount of time, the unit automatically switches to the Backup (B) source. Adjustable threshold and delay controls allow you to tailor operation for different programming styles, preventing quiet passages or natural pauses from triggering unnecessary source changes.
Flexible Operation and Remote Control
The Failsafe Gadget can remain on the backup source until manually reset or automatically return to the main source once healthy audio resumes. A front-panel sensor bypass switch enables manual operation whenever automatic monitoring isn't needed.
