TLDR: I bought this battery pack from insta360 on their site, I have a bad battery pack but also doesn't function as advertised. Not data pass through, just a battery pack So this $80 battery pack can not to be used with other insta 360 accessories, just charges your Luna. Offered a $30 voucher for the trouble that can only be used to offload old merch from their site. Bought this from Insta360’s website. It was a complete disappointment. As other reviews note, this accessory does not support data transfer — only power delivery. That means you cannot use Insta360 accessories with it, including the Mic Pro receiver. You lose lav mic audio and timecode jamming. The only benefit is extra battery life, FOR $80!!! Seamless integration with the Mic Pro was a major selling point of this camera. Shipping a battery accessory that breaks that workflow is a serious product and development miss. My unit clicks in, starts delivering power, then stops. The camera stops recognizing it. It is not even supplying power reliably, let alone communicating with the camera’s data connection or other accessories. I contacted Insta360. Because I bought it two months ago, they said they cannot process a return for refund — even though the unit is broken and was massively mis-advertised. They said I could get a replacement if I paid to ship it back, and offered a $30 voucher that cannot be combined with other offers and cannot be used on any “new” products. In other words, a gift card that mainly helps them move older store inventory. They then told me that it's features are that it can: 1. Charge the luna. 2. Charge my phone if I ever want to use it as an phone charger (basically and $80 mini phone charger) 3. Has a tiny tripod on the bottom (laughable) 4. Makes the luna more ergonomic for holding Man, love the Luna but the accessories for it and their compatibility are an absolute joke, between never being in stock and just not making sense. An $80 compact battery pack that only supplies power, has no data pass-through, and does not work with their other accessories is ridiculously overpriced. On top of that refusing a refund on a defective unit and offering a restricted voucher for old merch makes it even worse.
