The TK-Lizer 3 Mastering and Mix Bus EQ with Mid/Side Function (2 RU) from TK Audio is a rack-mounted equalizer based on the much-loved Baxandall circuit, revered for its naturally smooth sound. Equipped with three bands, it provides the parameter control and sound quality that professional mixing and mastering engineers demand.
Low and High bands can switch between peak and shelving, with each band followed by a gain control. Six frequencies are delineated on the three bands, and a high-pass filter with twelve frequencies is included. To maximize utility, you can choose between normal Left/Right mode or Mid/Side (M/S). M/S mode opens up further options, particularly with atmosphere in the side sections. With the Mid channel controls, you can manipulate elements that are often panned centrally, such as bass, kick/snare, vocals, and hi-hats. With a pair of 3-pin XLR balanced inputs and outputs, and a standard IEC power input connection, the unit makes a powerful addition to studio equipment racks of all kinds.
