Its plain-edged, flat-ground blade is made of CTS BD1N stainless steel, known for its edge retention, toughness, corrosion resistance, and ease of sharpening. The blade locks safely open by means of a back lock with a Boye Dent, the small finger groove that helps avoid accidentally unlocking the blade. Designed by Eric Glesser, the son of Spyderco founder Sal Glesser, the Charisma features a textured fiberglass-reinforced nylon handle with a reversible wire pocket clip and a hole for a lanyard.
