Encode HDMI video to an NDI network or decode NDI video to an HDMI setup with the DE20 4K HDMI/NDI Encoder & Decoder from AVMATRIX. This compact unit provides bidirectional encoding or decoding from USB or HDMI to IP and NDI|HX3 or from IP and NDI|HX3 to HDMI. Features include PoE power, tally, web and touch control, audio embedding/de-embedding, video encoding/decoding up to 4K30, and support for up to 4K60 video via HDMI I/O. The unit encodes and decodes NDI|HX3 streams with up to 4K30 resolution.
Bidirectional Video Conversion
The DE20-4K Pro provides conversion between IP and NDI|HX3 to HDMI in either direction, and it supports up to 4K60 4:2:2 video resolution. The HDMI output port can also serve as a loop output for the encoded video. You can also encode laptops, webcams, or PTZ cameras via the USB-A input to NDI.
NOTE: The encoding/decoding operates in only one direction at a time, not simultaneously.
Live Streaming Protocols
The DE20-4K allows you to stream your USB or HDMI source to live streaming platforms such as Vimeo, YouTube, Zoom, Facebook, Twitch, and more. You can also stream to custom destinations that support NDI|HX3, SRT, RTMP(S), and RTSP protocols.
Recording Options
Recording your programs is easy thanks to the built-in SD card slot, or you can plug in a USB drive to record your files and download via the web GUI.
Status Display with Tally
The front panel features an OLED display that features real-time tally lights, network status, and various stream statistics.
Power Options
The unit can be powered by either the included power supply or PoE over the Ethernet connection.
You can also power other devices using the 12 VDC barrel output.
Audio Embedding and De-Embedding
The encoder/decoder supports embedded audio, and you can also embed analog audio via a 3.5mm input into your stream, or you can de-embed from the stream to a 3.5mm analog output.
PTZ Camera Control
You can remotely control PTZ cameras using the web GUI via the USB-to-serial function, and it supports UVC, NDI|HX3, IP, or serial modes.
Mounting Options
You can mount the compact unit using separately available cold shoe or rackmount kits to accommodate racks, camera rigs, or production vans.
Management
A built-in web server allows you to configure and control the encoder/decoder from a web browser. On the chassis, there are touch buttons that provide fast selection and adjustment.
