The 1760 Analog Waveform Monitor (NTSC) from Tektronix is a solution designed to offer component and composite analog waveform/vector monitoring. This unit is ideal for portable applications where a monitor with a small footprint can be used to expedite setup and adjustment.
It is also well suited for use in camera control position. RGB parades and single channels can be selected on your camera's controls or the monitor's front panel. A multi-filter display provides convenient monitoring and adjustment of encoded composite signal levels. Magnified waveform and vector displays allow for critical setup of channel DC levels and encoded color balance. This monitor can also be used in VTR bridge applications, when SCH capability is not required.
The unit's picture display may be used to verify the feed to the recorder or transmission link. Longitudinal time-code amplitude and synchronization can be checked with this instrument to prevent problems with editing at a later date. A camera's white-and-black balance can also be checked using this unit's waveform and vector displays. Furthermore, stereo audio may be monitored with the device for correct phase and levels using the audio display.
