Centralize the monitoring of your entire AoIP setup with the Sonifex RM-X-64-DNT, a reference monitor for OB trucks and live broadcast applications that features 64 channels of MADI and 64 channels of Dante AoIP monitoring for 128 simultaneous channels. With intuitive control and full redundancy for audio and power, this device can serve as the backbone of any pro workflow.
The RM-X-64-DNT features extensive connectivity, including Dante AoIP via two RJ45 ports (primary and secondary) and two optical SFP ports, MADI and AES67 via dedicated BNC I/O connections, GPI/O connectivity via DB-15, two XLR 3-pin outputs for stereo analog or digital output, and front-panel 1/4" and 3.5mm headphone outputs. The unit also sports two modular expansion slots for optional I/O expansions, such as 8-channel analog input, 16-channel digital input, or 12G-SDI inputs (up to 64 channels). Control is easy with the 6.6" color touchscreen, rotary encoders, and optional web GUI control. Integrated speakers and a built-in talkback mic ensure seamless monitor operation without the need for external hardware. With support for every major metering technology and PPM standards, the RM-X-64-DNT is built for precise control and detailed monitoring during mission-critical applications.
The unit is also well suited to MCR environments, where the central technical hub of a broadcast facility manages and monitors incoming and outgoing signals prior to transmission. In this role, it supports tasks such as signal quality control, playout coordination, and compliance monitoring.
- The unit offers comprehensive metering compatible with multiple PPM standards, including BBC, EBU, DIN, and Nordic scales.
- Meter ballistics are fully configurable, featuring both Type I, Type II and Type II slow quasi-peak responses.
- Fast attack times and carefully controlled decay ensure precise peak detection while maintaining clear, operator-friendly readability.
- Parametric and graphic EQ features are accessible directly through on-screen menus, enabling rapid and precise audio tuning.
- The parametric EQ provides five fully configurable bands operating on a logarithmic frequency scale, with additional high-shelf and low-shelf filters for broad-spectrum tonal shaping.
- The graphic EQ offers 15-band equalization, offering 5 user-definable and storable presets alongside dedicated factory-default response curves for immediate recall.
- Integrated high-pass and low-pass filters are also provided for effective bandwidth limiting and signal conditioning.
The unit includes configurable GPIO ports and a voltage-free relay contact, enabling seamless integration with external systems and custom control setups. Reliability is further enhanced through redundant power inputs, supporting both AC mains and 12 VDC operation with automatic switchover to ensure uninterrupted performance in mission-critical environments
