Designed to provide extremely low-noise output and extended low-frequency headroom for studios and stages, the Grace Design m308 is an eight-channel rackmounted DI box, featuring high-impedance inputs for supporting passive pickups and line-level signals alike. Powered entirely by phantom power, this active DI box offers robust EM shielding and galvanic isolation.
The m308 offers a ground-lift switch for eliminating pesky grounding loops and a switchable -13 dB pad on each input channel for taming overly hot signals. Along with the standard 1/4" inputs, the m308 also offers thru jacks for each channel. Custom-wound Lundahl transformers ensure a high headroom with extremely low distortion. Bright yet efficient LED indicators are present for notifying you of whether a channel is receiving power and when signals get within 3 dB of clipping. With gold contact switches and a durable aluminum chassis, the m308 optimizes signal integrity and is built to last while remaining lightweight and easy to install or remove from a rack.
The m308 features power indicator LEDs, which are on whenever connected to a 48V phantom power source via either or both of the rear panel XLR output connectors. There is also a peak indicator, which flashes red when the signal level reaches 3 dB before clipping. These efficient LEDs can be seen from a significant distance, even in bright daylight.
