The GO-Kit 108 5-Section Boompole Kit with Shockmount, Headphones, and Windscreenfrom KTek is perfect for run-and-gun recording, documentary production, education, interviews on the go, and almost any other scenario in which professional or independent film and TV production is taking place. The kit also includes an extra XLR cable, and universal mount.
Made from a proprietary composite material, the K-Tek KC108CC Indie is a lightweight (at 1.5 lb), 5-section boompole that extends to 9'. It collapses to a compact 29.5" to conveniently fit in a standard 1650 or 1637 Peli-Case or medium-sized luggage for easy travel. The top attachment is a 3/8"-16 male thread that accommodates a wide variety of microphone shockmounts.
The KC108CC Indie features an internal, coiled cable with a straight XLR exit connection at the base of the pole. The boompole's anodized collars feature a knurled surface that provides a firm grip and smooth feel when opening and closing each collar. The tubes' finish allows the sections to glide open and close effortlessly. Additionally, the tubes are hand-burnished to diffuse handling noise. The KC108CC is manufactured in the USA, with in-house support and repair.

The ASM1 Shockmount 1 from Airo by K-Tek is a rugged shockmount designed for boompoles and mic stands. It can be used to securely isolate a shotgun microphone from swinging and eliminate handling noise in ENG, EFP, and other field recording applications. The shockmount features two molded rubber suspenders. In addition, a threaded adapter is included to accommodate 5/8" mic stands.
The K-Tek Airo Fuzzy Windscreen 1 is designed to mitigate wind noise while recording on location. The windscreen uses open-cell foam and is covered by faux fur, which is made from natural-looking black and gray medium length fibers. The seamless front panel ensures optimal recording performance. The Airo Fuzzy Windscreen 1 fits most common shotgun microphones, such as the Rode NTG Series or Aputure Deity range. This windscreen can also accommodate microphones up to 0.89″ in diameter and has an internal length of 8.7″. Additionally, the internal length allows for most common microphones to be covered in a way that leaves an open "bubble" between the tip of the microphone and the fuzzy windscreen for clearer sound capture.

The K-Tek KSQD1—or the Squid, as it’s more commonly known—is a convenient, stretchy solution for mounting a transmitter, mobile device, remote, and more to a tripod, handgrip, and yes, even a boompole. The Squid is made of silicone, quite elastic and strong, and stretches to provide a solid grip over the device. The silicone doubles as a barrier to shield the equipment, behaving in some ways as a shock absorber. As the Squid is translucent, you can see your controls and status indications quite easily.
Attaching something like a transmitter to the top end of your boompole with the Squid you can achieve better RF range, as well as stability as you swing the boom to and fro. Also, the silicone material adds little weight to the endeavor, which, as any boompole operator can tell you, is a plus. You can even attach a camera with a gimbal to the top of the boom, achieving drone-like shots. You can also use this device on tripod legs, antenna masts, or indeed, any tube-shaped object.
