The AudioPressBox APB-024 R-EX is a professional 2-RU rackmount passive press box expander designed to add 24 balanced XLR outputs to an AudioPressBox system. Each high-quality output is independently transformer balanced and isolated, with selectable mic- or line-level operation for flexible press conference audio distribution. A compatible AudioPressBox Drive Unit (available separately) is required for use with this device.
Two Output Groups for Flexible Routing
The 24 outputs are divided into two internal groups with 12 outputs for Channel A and 12 for Channel B, allowing the APB-024 R-EX to accommodate applications such as bilingual conferences. Two 3-pin XLR inputs are provided, one for each output channel, and each input can be routed to Output Channel A, Channel B, or both.
Expandable for Larger Systems
Two link outputs allow additional expanders to be daisy chained when more mic or line outputs are needed. This expandable configuration makes the APB-024 R-EX suitable for press conference systems requiring a large number of independently isolated audio feeds.
Requires an AudioPressBox Drive Unit
The APB-024 R-EX must be fed by a compatible AudioPressBox drive unit for proper operation. Compatible models include:
