The Drawmer FC1 is a FET compressor in a single-slot 500 Series module, featuring comprehensive controls for precise dynamics processing. With input and output gain, threshold, ratio, attack, release, and mix controls for parallel processing, along with a plethora of signature Drawmer functions, you have complete control over how your dynamics are shaped.
Both input and output makeup gain can be adjusted between -15 and +15 dB. Threshold controls are offered between +20 and -40 dB. You can adjust the ratio between 1:1 and 10:1, adjust attack between 0.2 and 200 ms, and adjust release between 0.1 and 2.5 seconds. Extra button-activated functions include Big/Air— which engages a high-cut or low-cut filter respectively, Program—for a program-dependent release circuit, Link—for linking to a second FC1 and utilizing stereo dynamics processing, and Crush—for progressive harmonic saturation and auto-compression, derived from the 1971 and MQ-2. Furthermore, you can switch between input and gain-reduction metering via the eight-segment dual LED meter (I/P VU) and bypass the module (B/P).
