Powered by a rechargeable lithium polymer battery, the Insteon Mini Remote Control Keypad (8-Scene) enables remote control of up to eight devices like your lights or eight groups of devices. The unit can be used as a wall switch, or placed on a surface like brick, glass, or metal with no wiring required.
Thanks to the 915 MHz wireless frequency, a hub, app, or Wi-Fi is not required for operation. However, for additional flexibility and functionality, the unit can be used with the HUB 2 Central Controller (available separately) and a Connected Home Access subscription to implement things like mobile app control to set schedules, create scenes, control the keypad switch, use seamless voice control via Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant, and control of other devices across the Insteon ecosystem.
