The D6X features a recessed switch that lets you select between three different filters for different voicings: Deep—retains the classic D6 performance; Balanced—offers more midrange response; and Natural—provides a more linear character with even more midrange, ideal for percussion, amp cabs, and many other instruments. The body is constructed from machined aluminum, with a steel mesh grille, black anodized body, and a transformerless design that retains signal strength, even with long cable runs. The D6X includes a mic clip and a carrying pouch.
- Deep (bottom position): identical to the classic D6 and the most familiar starting point for a forward sound that cuts through the mix.
- Balanced (center position): provides more midrange and upper midrange, lending itself well to a somewhat more traditional kick drum sound while retaining the impact for which the original D6 is known.
- Natural (top position): selects a more linear response, with even more midrange and an adjusted high-end roll off. This position is geared towards experimentation on sources with a fuller range of frequency content, such as Latin percussion, guitar amp cabinets, or the lower driver of a rotary organ speaker.
The Audix D2 is well suited for use in stage, studio, and broadcast applications, and features the frequency and sensitivity response required for accurately reproducing signals from drums and percussion instruments. The mic has a dynamic element capable of reproducing signals with high transient peaks, while maintaining a clear, punchy, and warm sound.
The D2 offers a frequency response of 68 Hz to 18 kHz which features a slight bump in the mid-bass frequencies. The contoured mid-bass response accentuates the tonal frequencies associated with instruments that have a percussive nature, such as rack toms, congas, floor toms, saxophone, brass, horns, as well as guitar and bass cabinets. The hypercardioid polar pattern provides a tight pickup area at the front of the capsule for isolation and feedback control, and it is equipped with a VLM (Very Low Mass) diaphragm for natural, accurate sound reproduction. Ambiance and noise at the off-axis sections of the microphone are greatly reduced, resulting in high signal-to-noise ratio.
The Audix D4 drum microphone offers both the frequency and sensitivity response useful for accurately recording drums and percussion instruments. The D4 features a dynamic element capable of reproducing signals with high transients peaks without producing the noise associated with distortion and overloading the capsule.
Its 40 Hz to 18 kHz frequency response allows you to capture large instruments low fundamentals—instruments such as kick drums, djembes, kettle drums, floor toms, and more. Its hypercardioid polar pattern provides a tight pickup area at the front of the capsule, making sure that ambiance and noise present at the off-axis sections of the microphone are greatly reduced.
The Audix i5 instrument microphone is an ideal solution for sound reinforcement and recording applications. The dynamic capsule features a cardioid polar pattern with a linear frequency response, capable of accurately reproducing signals at high sound pressure levels (SPL). The cardioid pattern effectively minimizes noise and ambiance at the off-axis sections of the capsule, reducing feedback and audio leakage caused by adjacent instruments. The i5 is ideal for capturing snare drum, percussion, guitar and bass cabinets, horns and vocals.
The Audix ADX51 is a professional pre-polarized condenser microphone designed for general instrument and vocal capturing. The cardioid polar pattern eliminates residual noise and feedback at the off-axis sections of the capsule. The ADX51 features a 10 dB pad switch to provide extra headroom while capturing highly transient audio signal. The low-frequency roll-off switch eliminates low-frequency hum, noise and proximity effect. The ADX51 features a low-noise output circuitry and is at home capturing brass, percussion instruments, guitar cabinets, vocals, and much more.
The Audix DVICE Spring-Loaded Rim-Mount Clamp is a sturdy percussion clamp that offers you the ability to rim mount your D Series microphones on a drum. It eliminates the need for bulky microphone stands. This unit's gooseneck design and spring-loaded clamp make it practical and easy to use.
The Audix MC-1 microphone stand mount is designed for the OM series and VX10 handheld microphones. Mounts to a standard 5/8" thread, but also includes a 3/8" thread adapter for European standards.
