Equipped with top-notch features and engineered for maximum versatility, the dBTechnologies DVA K5 is a high-powered line-array module featuring two 1.4” drivers, a 6” neodymium midrange, and a 8” neodymium woofer. An advanced DSP user interface allows an extremely precise system tuning. The double rotary encoder provides a separate tuning for LF correction (coupling) and MF/HF correction (high-angle midrange loss and air absorption compensation due to throw distance).
The module’s electronics and components are housed in a sturdy polypropylene box, reinforced with an internal anti-vibration metal structure, which drastically reduces any resonance, allowing the cabinet to achieve an excellent acoustic response. The unique design, selected components, and state-of-the-art amplifying technology provide an exceptional weight-to-performance ratio. Additionally, the DVA K5 comes with a freshly designed grille and an integrated rain cover.
Note: The power cord and rigging elements are sold separately.
- Powerful and noiseless amplification section, thanks to the new DIGIPRO G3 Class-D amplifier, requiring no active ventilation
- SPL (peak) of 129 dB
- High-quality transducers, sound design optimized for line-array use, and full-range frequency response for professional use
- Equipped as standard with pins and built-in brackets, pre-drilled and graduated for easy assembly/disassembly in a line-array configuration
- Quick and accurate DSP configuration through two rotary encoders, optimized coupling, and high-frequency compensation
- Easy to handle and transport
- Lightweight, thanks to the polypropylene box and the use of neodymium magnet components
- Homogeneous SPL along the speaker front direction; the effect is particularly noticeable over medium to long distances
- Directive sound behavior, allowing to accurately focus the sound on the audience, avoiding unnecessary dispersions in areas where acoustic coverage is not required
- The line-array optimization takes into account the system behavior with respect to the frequency
