Trinnov 3D MICROPHONE ETH Overview

The 3D Four-Capsule Measurement Microphone with Ethercon Connector from Trinnov is the dedicated hardware device used by all Trinnov processors for system calibration, and is used specifically with the NOVA and Altitude Cl processors. Its four-capsule construction lets the processor capture acoustic info needed for accurate speaker localization and room response analysis.

The four microphone capsules are arranged in a precise tetrahedral configuration—this fixed geometry allows the processor to identify differences in arrival time as well as direction between capsules during calibration. This locking EtherCon connector version of the 3D is powered directly by the processor, which also controls its on/off state through the dedicated EtherCon port of compatible units. Its calibration compensation files are stored internally, then automatically transferred to the processor during the calibration process, with no manual loading required. With a rigid metal body and included mounting accessories, it can be a durable and reliable staple of your microphone cabinet for years to come.
