The Universal Audio EMT 140 Classic Plate Reverb plug-in brings the warmth, presence, and glossy atmosphere of vintage plate reverb to your DAW. Modeled after three original units and fully endorsed by EMT International, it delivers the plate sounds heard on recordings by artists ranging from The Beatles and Pink Floyd to Radiohead and Adele.
Three Distinct Plate Reverbs
Plates A and B recreate the original EMT electronics system with plates that had intentionally not been tuned in some time. Plate C offers a more full-frequency sound, using serviced Martech electronics to provide a more open reverb with added presence and brightness.
Flexible Sound-Shaping Controls
Damping and filter controls help you dial in classic plate reverb sounds, while plug-in-only Balance, Width, and Modulation settings expand the available processing options. Use Balance to pinpoint a snare tone, Width to spread out a string section, or Modulation to add shimmer to a lead vocal.
Native and Accelerated Operation
Run the EMT 140 natively on a macOS or Windows computer, or use it with Apollo audio interfaces and UAD Accelerators for accelerated processing.
