What Is Balanced Power?
In simple terms, balanced power is a process that eliminates noise or distortion from incoming electrical current. Before the initial signal hits your devices and equipment for power, balanced power ensures you have the cleanest, most pure power by affecting the current itself. Balanced power is not conditioning power or adding equalization to remove noise. Rather, balanced power eliminates that noise before you ever hear or notice it.
How It Works
Unlike common power conditioners that use filters to reduce noise, which can affect your sound quality, the 3RQ focuses on preventing those noises in the first place. The 3RQ takes 240V and steps it down to split 120V into one 60V leg and one phase inverted 60V leg. The two legs are reassembled without any artifacts through special outlets on the unit. The results range from better dynamics to improved stereo imaging. With two legs at an equal 180-degree difference, the effect created is Common Mode Rejection and cancels the differences between legs such as noise, hums, ground loops, and other unwanted distortions that may affect your work.
