SMC Essential Magnet System
SMC (Soft Magnetic Composite) is a coated, magnetic, granular material that offers a highly unusual combination of very high magnetic permeability and very low electrical conductivity. The SONIK series uses DALI's patented SMC magnet material to reduce distortion and improve linearity. A ferrite ring surrounds a hybrid iron-SMC pole piece, placing SMC directly in the voice coil's working zone. This minimizes hysteresis and eddy currents, delivering cleaner, more detailed, and relaxed midrange performance.
