The adapter can carry any combination of up to four analog XLR audio signals over a single RJ45 network cable, connecting audio from mixers, microphones, and instruments to the XLR ports and route all 4 signals over a shielded balanced Ethernet cable to another io44 or other splitter device such as the DX08B and DX16B. Great for running audio through wall cavities, thus providing affordable and more portable or temporary audio networking.
