Featuring dual Cirrus Logic CS43198 DACs and balanced bi-amplifiers, the Sound Blaster X5 provides smooth 32-bit, 384 kHz audio playback. This external sound card supports a wide range of headphones with the capability to drive studio-grade performance of up to 600 ohm impedance. The front panel includes gold-plated jacks, supporting a 3.5mm 4-pole headset and microphone. You can also connect a pair of balanced headphones through the 4.4mm 5-pole jack. Manual gain, volume, and EQ controls and an LED display allow you to balance the sound to suite your preferences. Virtual spatial audio support immerses you in theater-like positional sound. An integrated Bluetooth receiver allows you wirelessly play music from your phone or other compatible device on your computer or home entertainment speakers.
The rear panel includes a USB-A port that lets you connect a headset, speakers, microphone, or wireless transmitter through the Sound Blaster X5. Additionally, RCA and TOSLINK optical in and out connectors are available for your AV receivers, media players, and set top boxes. The USB-C host connector can transfer audio and power over a single cable with your Windows 10 / 11 or macOS 10.5 or later computer. Flipping the designated switch enables the Sound Blaster X5 to work with PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 consoles.
