The Gemini 305 Close-Range Stereo Vision Camera from Orbbec is a lightweight depth- and color-sensing unit designed to assist robotic arms. It utilizes visible and NIR optical transmission to produce depth + color as well as dual-color outputs. The camera is designed with built-in mounting options for installation on both cobots and humanoid robot wrists. Built for object recognition and grasping, this camera's ideal scanning range is 2.8 to 19.7" but is capable of scanning between 1.6 and 39".
It is equipped with a global shutter sensor and supports resolutions up to 1280 x 800 at 60 fps. The integrated ASIC MX6600 chipset processes data and allows for real-time streaming in both output modes. Multi-camera sync capabilities and the accompanying open-source SDK make the camera easier to deploy across a fleet of machines. Data connections are available via a USB-C port.
