Lexar Profe ional Silver SDXC 1667x Overview

The 256GB Professional 1667x UHS-II SDXC Memory Card from Lexar features a storage capacity of 256GB and takes advantage of the UHS-II bus to support advanced DSLR functions such as continuous shutter bursts and rapid shooting, as well as raw and JPEG captures. This card is also well-suited for video capture, including 4K, 3D, and Full HD video, and can achieve maximum read speeds of up to 250 MB/s and maximum write speeds of up to 120 MB/s. Thanks to its V60 speed class rating, minimum write speeds are guaranteed not to drop below 60 MB/s.

UHS-II cards achieve their speed through an extra row of pins, and while this card has been designed for cameras that are UHS-II / V60 compatible, it may be used in devices that do not support UHS-II / V60. However, bear in mind that this card will then default to your device's speed class and bus rating, such as UHS-II and V30, which support minimum write speeds of 30 MB/s, or UHS-I and U3, which also support minimum write speeds of 30 MB/s. If your device does not support U3, this card is compatible with the U1 and Class 10 standards, each of which guarantees minimum write speeds of 10 MB/s.

To help protect against accidental file deletion, there is a built-in write-protect switch. To further safeguard against possible data loss, users can download free Image Rescue software that is designed to recover most photo and video files.

Is this memory card suitable for use in a Nikon D500?
Asked by: Paul
Absolutely. I have a 64GB QXD card in the first slot and will put this card in the second slot. 64GB should hold about 6,000 RAW pictures, or 18,000 fine JPGs. A great choice. I bought mine for $20 - a steal at that price.

Is this card compatible with the Hasselblad 1DX for 1080 video and RAW 3FR?
Asked by: Kim
As long as the Hassablad is capable of using SD sized cards and can handle UHS II cards, you should be good to go. How much can go on the card of course will be determined by the size (not the type)of the RAW files and size of movie file. By the way, these are nice fast cards and one of Lexar's best values. SD cards are small and they 128 gb cards should let you do a lot of work. Congratulations on your new Hasselblad medium format mirrorless digital camera. I'll bet it's a killer set-up.

It is compatible with a7sIII? In which modes? thank you
Asked by: Arthur
If you can afford the A7S3, spare a few dime for the fastest SD writing at 390mbps: Lear 2000X, SOMY G class, Sandisk Extreme Pro. Or once and for all acquire the CFEpress type A, then you can be sure of using all Recording modes.
