Paired with a mount and tripod, this 103mm Apochromatic ED Triplet Refractor Telescope optical tube assembly from Askar is an unusually versatile platform for astrophotography and observation. Its apochromatic design and air-spaced triplet lens with an extra-low dispersion element prevent chromatic aberration for distortion-free images. Remove the back of the optical tube and attach the optional, separately sold 0.6x reducer, and you have a scope with a fast f/4 focal ratio for gathering light from deep-sky nebulae and stars. The shorter tube can also be used with Askar's optional binoviewer eyepiece.
A retractable dew shield, mounting rings, 1.25" and 2" eyepiece/camera adapters, a 3.3-inch rack-and-pinion manual focuser that converts to optional electronic, two finderscope bases, and matte interior with baffles are featured. The scope's Vixen-style dovetail is compatible with most mounts. Only the optical tube assembly is included—mounts and tripods are sold separately.
