Paired with a mount and tripod, this 203mm Apochromatic ED Triplet Refractor Telescope optical tube assembly from Askar is a versatile platform for astrophotography and observation. Its apochromatic design and air-spaced triplet lens with an extra-low dispersion element prevent chromatic aberration for distortion-free images. Retract the back end of the tube for compatibility with Askar's separately sold eyepiece with binocular viewing; extend it for use with a camera or standard eyepiece.
A retractable dew shield, mounting rings, 1.25- and 2-inch eyepiece/camera adapters, a 3.3-inch rack-and-pinion manual focuser that converts to optional electronic, two finderscope bases, and matte interior with baffles are featured. The scope's Losmandy-style dovetail is compatible with most mounts. Only the optical tube assembly is included—mounts and tripods are sold separately.
