Equipped with premium graphics and a full-frame image circle, the FF80 APO Astronomical Telescope from Askar yields sharp views and photos with no need for a field flattener.
The quad APO lens has two extra-low dispersion elements to dramatically reduce chromatic aberration and eliminate the need to calculate back focus distance—just attach your camera with one of the four included adapters and you're ready for imaging.
The f/7.5 focal ratio and 600mm focal length lend themselves to both planetary and deep-sky photography. An optional diagonal and eyepieces are required for visual use.
Optical Tube Assembly
- f/7.5 focal ratio and 600mm focal length allow for both deep-sky and planetary imaging
- Quadruplet air-spaced apochromatic refractor design with two ED elements produces rich views with minimal chromatic aberration
- Quad APO is self-flattening, eliminating the need for a separate field flattener
- Supports 44mm image circle for full-frame cameras
- Fine spot diagram with tiny distortion of peripheral stars and under-3µ central RMS radius
Focuser
- Sturdy 3" rack-and-pinion design can easily carry larger and heavier eyepieces, accessories like Barlows and focal reducers, and imaging systems
- Finderscope base
- 10:1 fine adjustment ratio
Use and Handling
- Anodized green handle and black tube ring assembly, can be detached and reinstalled in seconds
- Handle has M6 screw holes for attaching accessories
- M76, M68, M54, and M48 camera adapters
