The ultracompact Focus 504 On-Camera Monitor from SmallHD provides professional monitoring for handheld and gimbal operations that require lightweight peripherals. Features include a sharp 5" LCD with 1920 x 1080 resolution, Rec. 709 color processing, 1000 cd/m² brightness, touchscreen control, and the latest SmallHD PageOS firmware. It features HDMI and 3G-SDI inputs and outputs.
PageOS
With the intuitive SmallHD PageOS, you can customize pages of monitoring tools and focus aids with a tap. It also features a settings dashboard, preconfigured pages and tabs, templates, LUT support, exposure assist, overlays, function buttons, and more.
Camera Control
Using PageOS and a separately available add-on camera control license, you can utilize camera control for select ARRI, RED, Sony, or Canon cameras via one of the monitor's USB-C ports or via the integrated 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi feature. Built-in Wi-Fi is also compatible with the Fleet Control app.
Connectivity
The Focus 504 provides HDMI 2.0 and 3G-SDI input and output for wide video compatibility and extension. It also features locking USB-C ports for power, data, and video.
The monitor also provides integrated 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi for connectivity with cameras.
Power Options
The monitor can be powered via the 2-pin LEMO-type input with an external power source, an L-series battery using the built-in rear battery plate, or via the USB-C input. Two USB-C ports also provide 5V power output for small accessories like smartphones.
Its durable aluminum chassis protects the monitor and keeps it cool in any production environment.
Mounting
Four 1/4"-20 anti-twist threads around the sides of the chassis provide mounting on tripods, handheld gear, gimbals, and other rigs, as well as additional accessories such as cages, handles, or extension arms.
The monitor also features a purpose-built portrait interface for monitoring, framing, and operating when shooting vertical content.
USB Data Input
The monitor's USB-C ports allow you to plug a USB-C thumb drive into the back to update firmware, load custom 3D LUTs, save screenshots, and more.
