The iPad mini now features a 12MP Center Stage front camera on the landscape edge that's ideal for video calls. The Acoustic Display hides the speakers behind the glass, which allows for an IP67 rating for water and dust resistance. With other features such as 5G cellular, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6, Siri AI powered by Apple Intelligence, and iPadOS, the iPad mini is ideal for a wide range of users, thanks to its portability, performance, and now OLED display.
8.5" Super Retina XDR OLED Display
The Super Retina XDR OLED display delivers deep, vivid colors and near-infinite contrast for your viewing pleasure. With up to 1,200 nits of peak brightness and 1 nit of minimum brightness, HDR content is easy on the eyes in any light. Colors are vibrant yet accurate, with support for P3 wide color and True Tone technology that automatically adapts white balance to match the ambient lighting.
Apple A20 Pro Chip
The A20 Pro chip is the most powerful and power-efficient chip built for iPad mini yet. With packaging inspired by Apple's M-series chips, it delivers a huge leap in CPU and GPU performance. The A20 Pro 5-Core chip features two super cores and three efficiency cores. It also has a 16-Core Neural Engine for AI. New Neural Accelerators in each GPU core, enhanced Apple Neural Engine, and increased memory bandwidth speed up Apple Intelligence and all your AI tasks.
The powerful A20 Pro chip delivers up to 60% faster performance than the previous model. The GPU is up to 2.7x faster, enabling Dynamic Caching, hardware-accelerated mesh shading, and ray tracing for incredible graphics. And with double the memory bandwidth, everything you do feels even more responsive.
Neural Accelerators in the GPU speed up AI tasks by up to 4.5x for large language model (LLM) token generation.
Apple Intelligence and Siri AI
Siri AI is your helpful AI assistant, powered by Apple Intelligence. Siri understands your context, works across your apps, and keeps everything secure with on-device processing and Private Cloud Compute. Tap or circle anything on the screen to search or ask questions. Turn rough sketches into polished images. And with natural conversations, richer answers, and its own dedicated app, Siri AI is powerful, private, and tailored to you.
Wi-Fi 7 and Cellular
The Apple N1 wireless networking chip improves performance and reliability with support for Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6, and Thread home networking. With an Apple C2 cellular modem, you can access the internet from almost anywhere by installing an eSIM from a compatible service provider.
Apple Pencil Compatibility
Apple Pencil sold separately.
The iPad mini is compatible with both Apple Pencil Pro and Apple Pencil (USB-C). Whether you're writing, sketching, or drawing with expressive strokes, the Apple Pencil turns your iPad mini into the ultimate portable canvas.
