Capture footage from digital or analog sources directly into your NLE of choice with the UltraStudio Express HD from Blackmagic Design. SDI and analog component video inputs can import video from modern or legacy professional video equipment. Using the versatile Thunderbolt interface, the UltraStudio HD can send and receive SD and HD video up to 1080p60, with up to 16 channels of embedded audio, via a USB4 or Thunderbolt 4 connector.
Available outputs include dual SDI for fill and key and an HDMI output for driving a display. The unit also features dual analog audio inputs and a reference input. With the built-in RS-422 connection, the UltraStudio HD can also interface with professional broadcast decks.
Control
Use the DIP switches on the front panel or the RS-422 deck control port on the rear for software control. The separately available Teranex Mini Smart Panel can be purchased separately and can be used to control the UltraStudio HD as well as use its 2.2" display for confidence monitoring.

Thunderbolt 4 Connectivity
Connects via Thunderbolt 4 to stream video. Bus power over Thunderbolt 4 is sufficient to power the UltraStudio HD, so no separate power supply is required. The USB-C connector supports up to 40 Gb/s throughput.
