Auralex T'Fusor Overview

The 4-pack of T'Fusor 3D Sound Diffusor Panels from Auralex is designed to stabilize frequency response and preserve liveliness of spaces such as control rooms, recording studios, concert halls, home theaters, and houses of worship. Each diffusor is 23.75 x 23.75” and delivers an NRC of 0.20.

T’Fusors are optimized to reduce standing waves and flutter echo, without deadening the room. They effectively enlarge the ideal listening position and provide a more accurate listening experience. You can further improve broadband diffusion by filling the back of the T’Fusor with acoustic foam or 1” rigid fiberglass.

They easily drop into 2 x 2’ ceiling grids, or can be mounted on walls. The thermoplastic construction is both lightweight and strong. They are finished in white, and can be painted to match desired color schemes.

Auralex T'Fusor Reviews

Definitely made a difference in my sound room.

Product made a difference by "Diffusing" sound. BUT, even though it is small problem, since these are molded I'm guessing, my edges were a little bent on arrival. Just an eye-sore to me.

An easy fix

As advertised, the T'Fusor drops easily into a suspended grid ceiling. I placed eight of these units in a 22' x 24' x 9' studio. I also backed each unit with 1 rigid fiberglass. While I haven't had a chance to run any diagnostics on the room since installation, to my ear the T'Fusor has done a good job breaking up the standing waves and echoes caused by the rather pedestrian construction of the studio. As with most fabricated audio treatments, I find the units overpriced.

Solved listening room issue.

These T'fusors performed splendidly in my dedicated audio listening room. The four diffusers were used on the ceiling to eliminate early arrival reflections. Very happy.

Performed as designed. Good price.

I purchased these to replace some decaying foam that was dealing with the early arrival reflections off the ceiling in my dedicated audio room. The results were quite discernible. Diffusion in this case did a much better job than the foam. I spray painted them to blend with color scheme of the room and they look pretty cool. While I can't A-B them with some of the substantially more expensive alternatives out there, for the price, not a big risk as high end room tweeks go.
