The Meade #889 Tripod Adapter plate allow you to attach the ETX-125 telescope to any Meade LX10, LX50 or LX200 series adjustable or fixed height field tripod for altazimuth use, as well as allowing you to attach the ETX-125 to a Meade equatorial wedge (or wedge & tripod combo) for equatorial use.
It does not, however, allow the ETX-125 to be attached to conventional photo tripods.
