Have at least a dozen of these. Typically I find a used wooden salad bowl or wood plate with enough thickness to accept the Pin. I pre-drill and then screw the Pin in place. Instant Base for one of my Lights! On the downside, $14 is way overpriced. Used to get these for $6

When I first saw this, I thought it was what I wanted. As I continued to look, I fount the Impact Short adapter Spigot for $ and bought 2 and then when to Lowes to find a screw that I could hang these from my ceiling. For about $ I got some wall hanger screws with wood threads on one side and 3/8 machine screw on the other side. All in all I spent about $ for 2
