The plate is a welded to a steel pin. The load limit will more be a matter of how you mount it and what you mount it too.

Anyone know if there is a version of this with a receiver instead at a 90 degree angle as well? Looking for something with similar load capacity and distance from the base.
I do not believe there is an option for a baby plate that is angled with a 5/8-inch receiver.
One options is to use a 5/8 female to 5/8 female adapter like one of these, https://bhpho.to/3vmtsD9 .
