SheetBlok Sound Isolation Barrier from Auralex is a dense vinyl material that is 6 dB more effective than solid lead at stopping the transmission of sound. It acts as a thin but dense sound barrier for use inside walls, ceilings, or floors, and it is most effective when used as one component of a multilayer construction scheme.
The product is available in a 10 x 4' roll. It helps decouple floors and walls. It can be painted with latex paint if required, and Studiofoam 1, 2, 3, or 4" panels can be wall mounted to the SheetBlok Sound Isolation Barrier using separately availalble Tubetak adhesive.
