Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice product for the $$$ Recently, I dusted off a very old Astroscan to look at the stars with my daughter. I only had the 28mm eyepiece, which is great but at 16x not capable of seeing any detail on Saturn, Jupiter, etc. The 3x barlow has allowed us to see these things reasonably well in a telescope that is not really designed for planetary observation. We've also used it for terrestrial viewing, and wow! The barlow produces extremely clear images. I'm quite satisfied with the product. Surely, there's fancier and better stuff out there, but not at this price point.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good budget Barlow for amateur telescopes I boughtMeade 3x Short Focus Barlow Lens to try to get better view and images of Jupiter opposition this year. I haveCelestronC90 MAK Scope to work with so my chances are understandably limited. The lens performed as expected. I was able to get focus with the camera attached to the scope. Final image is attached (not great - but unmistakably Jupiter) Unfortunately the lens from this Barlow cannot be screwed on a Celestron or Orion Barlow body. So I needed to stack Meade Barlow and Celestron t-adapter. Giving the Barlow 4 starts because of that I do recommend this Barlow lens for use with beginners to intermediate level scopes

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Quality I find this Meade Barlow perfect for my interest in the Moon. I tried it first time the day before yesterday. I had a 9mm Celestron(Lower quality) eyepiece attached to my 10Mp Logitech C910 Web Cam. I got up and personal. The Barlow performed Perfect no distortion. It will only get better next week when my new high grade eyepiece arives. Astro-Tech Paradigm 5mm - 60 Degree Field - Dual ED Wide Angle 1.25 Eyepiece ATPARA05 Then we get close and personal with this great and even low cost Barlow that keep your view the colors and clearity in top quality

Rated 4 out of 5 by from #128 3x Short Focus ETX Barlow Lens (1.25) by Meade Fantastic addition to my lens. Rated it 4 stars because there are no directions that come with the lens so being a novice, it took me a bit to figure out how to use it. I also had to look for the object in the sky with my original lens and then put the 3x focus lens in after I had located what I was looking for. All in all - great buy for the money I paid.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good buy for the price Bought this to use with my Meade 125 ETX. Took it out to try it this weekend with hopes to view Saturn as it is now visible in the night sky. The sky was clear and I was excited. In the matter of 10 minutes the entire sky developed clouds, and I was unable to use it. I will try again soon. ... I only wish that it came with a case of its own.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Clarity and Quality I went from using a 2x to this 3x barlow so that I could get a cleaner view from some of my lower magnification lenses. The images were crystal clear. This barlow made a great addition to my collection of lenses. I haven't found any issues yet, and I don't expect to.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great views for the price Gives a great 3x magnified image. My ONLY complaint is that the black body is a plastic material instead of metal (aluminum?), like my 2x Celestron Omni barlow. Aside from that, I can't argue with the results, and I really like the short length and light weight.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice little Barlow Don't be fooled by the small size of this Barlow. It is light weight, small but optically excellent. No worries about balancing the scope with it's light weight.
