This Ikelite replacement o-ring is for the 5700 Series type housings. The o-ring resembling a thick rubber band is designed to establish a watertight seal when going underwater.
Manufactured to precision tolerances required to hold a pressure seal on your housing and made of elastomeric material, it provides the means by which a watertight seal is formed.
Last year I had a hard time finding these before my dive trip. I thought for sure I would be able to get them on Cozumel since it is a big dive destination, but no such luck. I kept my fingers crossed every time I put my camera in my housing using my old o ring. This year I decided to go prepared. I ordered four of them. I haven't actually used them yet, but I will on my dive trip next month.I will go ahead and give them 5 stars since they are new. The rating may change though if there is a leak while I'm using one of them when diving. I never thought it would be so hard to find replacement parts for my Ikelite housing.THANK YOU B&H for having what I needed!
