The Engraved Black and White Combo Slate is a premium quality engraved white acrylic clapper slate that works with dry erase markers. It fits in a standard front box (not included), or can be carried in the included mesh bag. The slate features engraved lettering, which is much more resistant to constant erasing than surface paint lettering. The black and white clap sticks are permanently attached, so they are not reversible.

Made from Alder wood for a distinct sound when clapped, the clap sticks incorporate a top and bottom magnet for a solid bounce free one hand clap. The sticks are permanently attached to the board and are made in the USA.

Old School slate for film and digital production

Well made slate in a bag so you can have your dry markers and cleaners with you.

What can you say? It's a SLATE. Slates are like a hammer -- they work or they don't. This one's solidly built and works as advertised. The only complaint I have is the "ROLL" area: should either be "ROLL/MEDIA" or just "MEDIA." I mean, who shoots on film these days? The nice thing is the back is dry-erase as well, so the clapper can put down a note for themselves and NOT have to flip the slate around to figure out what shot/take is currently being marked. Just add some hook-and-loop fasteners to the back and the dry erase pen so you've got a place to park the marker between takes.
