G541 Series 4/5 Right Angle Bracket For Systematic Tripods is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 2.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Robust This is a very robust and stable right angle adaptor for a Gitzo series 4 or 5. The base screw wright on the base plate and the base plate of the center post fits perfectly in the right angle circle. Great for sturdy and stable camera/lens holding over a table top for Macrophotography.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good but not perfect I bought this to use with a lateral arm for macrophotography. The complete setup can include a Gitzo Series 5 tripod, the bracket, a geared lateral arm, an Arca-Swiss D4 geared head, a micrometer-based focusing rail, and a camera with high magnification lens. The maximum solidness from all series 5 components seems necessary to support all the weight, and most importantly, without vibration when making focusing adjustments. One complaint about the design is that it doesn't use the systematic clamp to connect the bracket to the tripod. This allows it to be used with more tripods, including series 3 and 4 systematic tripods, which have smaller clamps. However, it is not as secure as one with the clamp. I really hope to see a series 5 dedicated bracket.
