Recommended as a minimum treatment for home theaters with limited wall space, the 24-pack of Studiofoam Wedgies from Auralex are one-foot square, 2"-thick Studiofoam acoustic tiles that offer a solution for spot-treating sound studios, home listening rooms, iso booths, and more.

The tiles provide slightly more wedges per square foot than 2" Studiofoam Wedges and feature a surface area maximized for greater exposure to sound waves. This provides an effective solution for flutter-echo problems, and when spread apart, the tiles yield added sound diffusion off of their exposed edges.

Steeper wedges maximize the surface area exposed to sound waves
Helps solve small flutter-echo problem areas
Class-B flame retardancy
Will not crumble with age

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Useful Foam for Studio Sound Absorption This foam is good for its intended purpose: Breaking up mid and high frequency signals in a studio environment. Keep in mind these are not intended to sound proof your studio (by that I mean reduce the sound volume). Rather this foam is intended to break up sound, reduce reverberation, and create a dry room effect in a vocal/recording booth. This foam is also useful for reducing unwanted room reverberations that would otherwise color what you hear in the mixing/mastering process. These foam tiles are only useful for mid and high frequency signals. For low-end signals (which are arguably the most troublesome when mixing/mastering), you will need more dense bass traps in your studio. There is tons of information online regarding the proper placement/use of this foam. I suggest you grab a cup of coffee and read up. Helpful tip: I use T style push pins to hang mine up so that there is no adhesive to damage my walls.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It's Auralex This for use in my basement studio to tame some of the early reflections. They are great quality and consistent as you would expect from Auralex. Nothing bad to speak of.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product! Easy to install and looks professional! I have a small home studio and only wanted to quiet small areas in the recording room keeping the rest lively. This application was perfect!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Best Value! Highly Recommend I bought this for a small in-house studio and it works great! Originally I only bought one pack, but after testing it out, I bought one more. I use these in an empty 8x12 ft room which had a terrible echo but the two packs cleared the echo up. These are a great value and work great. p.s. I suggest tacking the foam up before gluing it to the wall.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Will be buying more. Haven't hung them all up but they immediately tightened up the sound in my living room. Both my workspace monitor speakers and my TV surround system sound infinitely better. If you want high quality audio you NEED to sound treat your room. Auralex is the safest bet at high quality foam.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Tamed the Cymbles I have a jam room in the basement. It's really loud down there when we jam. With these, I made a barier around the drummer/hockey player to cut his cymble smashing. Worked well. These are expensive, but BnH had the best price!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Get the job done Used these to fill in a space between a wall and the ceiling. They are fairly study for being foam and they block out sound nicely.
