Am doing some duo recording on a Tascam 2488MKII but the unit only has one headphone output jack. Found this splitter on the B&H site for under $10 and it fits my needs perfectly! Even a arrived a day earlier than anticipated!

I use a Firestudio Mobile, and needed to run 1/4 headphones to my talent, as well as listen on mine. I had a splitter on hand, but the front of the box is pretty cramped. The length of the Y-cable allows for plenty of room around the knobs.
Didn't really work for a Scarlett 18i8

The product seems fine and that it does what it's supposed to do, but it wasn't working properly with my Scarlett 18i8 audio interface. That interface has two headphone-out jacks, which I wanted to split to three different headphones. Long story short, it seems the audio interface doesn't have enough power to feed three of the headphones I was using and I'll need to use a splitter with its own amp. Not the product's fault, but something to consider if you're weighing your options between this and something with its own power source.

Is it hooked in parallel or in series??
The three connections at the tip of the male connector - tip ring & sleeve - are identical in the two female connectors. It's all parallel wiring.
