I needed Y cables as pictured above and also ordered 10ft male to male cables to extend the distance between my speakers and also comfortably reach my focusrite

Didn't really work for a Scarlett 18i8

The product seems fine and that it does what it's supposed to do, but it wasn't working properly with my Scarlett 18i8 audio interface. That interface has two headphone-out jacks, which I wanted to split to three different headphones. Long story short, it seems the audio interface doesn't have enough power to feed three of the headphones I was using and I'll need to use a splitter with its own amp. Not the product's fault, but something to consider if you're weighing your options between this and something with its own power source.

The three connections at the tip of the male connector - tip ring & sleeve - are identical in the two female connectors. It's all parallel wiring.
