How could I place this overhead on two c-stands when shooting out doors?
The tubing of the Chimera Frame for Frame/Panel Reflectors - 48x48" (B&H# CHFP4848) is designed to be inserted in the grip head that is used on a typical C stand. Here's an example of one:

In your use case you'd attach the side of the frame (on each side) to your C-stand using a grip head like the one mentioned earlier.

The Chimera is designed with a shock cord, holding it together.
The Scrim Jim comes in parts, & attach to one another via a frame hinge type adapter.

I'm used to these scrims having groomets and elastic corners to hold them on the frame (the rag place). Not on these???? !! ???
The Chimera Frame for Frame/Panel Reflectors - 48x48 listed above is only the frame; it does not include a fabric screen or panel with its purchase. However, the Chimera fabric reflectors/diffusers designed for use with this frame would only have an elastic corner on the ends of the fabric to connect to the frame; it will not have grommet holes for attachment purposes.
