Since this allows a Leica R type lens to be mounted unto a Canon EOS type camera, it should work fine, however we have received some reports of certain Leica R prime lenses getting too close to the Canon 5D Mark IV mirror so it isn't perfect. The adapter needs to be close enough to mimic the size of a Leica R camera, allowing proper focus capabilities, but not too close so that the rear lens elements hit the Canon DSLR mirror. We have not heard of physical problems using the Leica 28-90mm and the manufacturer has not stated any problems with them.
