We were using a sewing machine, which worked well, but this machine far exceeds my expectations. The only draw back is, the machine comes with a cutting blade not the perforating blade. We had to order those after the fact. But once we received the extra bladed for perforating, it works great.

I use this great blade to make tear apart vocabulary words to allow students to catagorize words into major idea groups. The page tears apart easily and tearing things apart is awesome.
