The tape features a newly developed binder material for excellent adhesion, and a special lubricant in the magnetic layer for stable tape transport. This is especially important, whether used in the field or in the editing room, both of which demand high reliability.
The surfaces of the magnetic particles are uniformly coated with a special antioxidant to prevent deterioration of magnetic characteristics, thus ensuring that the C/N ratio remains high throughout long-term storage. At the same time, tape shrinkage is minimal, thereby preventing the track pattern dimensional changes and mistracking that can cause the error rate to rise.
The video cassette is color-coded yellow for easy identification. The high-precision, high-rigidity cassette shell protects the tape during outdoor shooting. In addition to stabilizing tape transport and preventing damage, they protect stored tapes from dirt and dust.
