Bought these to frame some magazines for the office and everybody loved them. The black wood looks very stylish. The only thing I did not like is that you have to be very careful not to get your fingerprints all over or you can just wipe them off with a cloth at the end.

I would say that a magazine is too thick and no more than 5 or 6 pages would fit.

The MCS Wood Float Frame - 11x14", Black does come with two glass plates. No one has written a review saying you can't use it, please write a review if you succesfully use the NCS float frame as scratch board..

Hi. No actually, they are meant to hang on the wall. There's no stand for the frame to set erect on a table top. They do look amazing on the wall as the wall and how ever it's decorated becomes the mat surrounding the photo. RAC
