I have old 819 floor mic that has very low sensitivity. Desire to use the new preamp but need this cable to connect it to the floor mic 3 pins. Is the new preamp compatible with the old mic? Looking forward to a boost in gain and may be a lower noise? Please advise do expect a wiring change may be needed.
I believe it is, same pin type and there wouldn't be any need to wire differently. To be sure I would contact Shure (no pun).
