Terrible clamp design

The clamp design is cheap and does not tighten well. The connecting screw from the base of the wire stem to the clamp mechanism is so poorly designed and when I tried to tighten it it just came off and won't re-attach. Don't waste your money.

Is it easy to change out the clamp for another design? (I see a lot of reviews love the screens, but hate the clamp.)
The clamp was not designed to be directly replaced.

About 11inches or so, better than the last one I had, this one curves around nice in front of Neumann mic to block the pops
